This is what you call a comeback. I don't care if it's a remake, and neither should anyone because 99% of people who troll it for it haven't seen the original Spanish film, just like me. I love that the film is made with utmost honesty and sensitivity because of its subject, so much so that the challenged people shown in the film are actually specially challenged, and that works in favor of the film because they look believable and do not look caricaturish. I haven’t laughed this much watching a film in the theaters in quite some time now. It also has a lot of heartwarming moments that define the movie and its themes, such as living life to the fullest, overcoming your fears and insecurities, and truly accepting one's mistakes and accepting everyone in general. Kartar Paaji's character understands and looks at these people in the way the world should look at them, and it's portrayed beautifully by the actor Gurpal Singh. Dolly Ahluwalia constantly abuses her son yet shows him the right path, which is one of the best and funniest parts of the film. Genelia provides good support, and Aamir plays the stubborn, set-in-his-ways, and average man going through his own journey in a lovely way.

I can't believe I wasn't going to watch this in the theaters. Go for it; it's one of the best films of the year.
